Deep breaths...

One of my garden roses after the rain

I must apologise, I have been neglecting you. What with everything going on I have been super busy planning the wedding (not long to go now!!) and part of that involves sorting, tidying and more shopping than I could have ever thought possible.

The weather here has not been clear sunny skies in the slightest which has made some of the gardening awkward. Did I tell you we had to get a new petrol lawn mower? Well we did and it is a self propelling one which makes me feel like a cartoon character as I get dragged about the lawn; you can almost see movement lines as I get yoinked about! Juggling numbers and working out where everyone is staying for the wedding is a nightmare and certain 'bathroom' type logistics had to be worked out which was probably some sort of karmic revenge for me deciding to dodge the seating plan shuffle by not making one. If I sound a bit dazed, stressed and with my head all over the place it could be the heavy cold that has been plaguing me for the past week and a half or it could be the sudden bursts of wedding nerves, excitement and anxiety. When I am stressed I craft even more than usual and my knitting needles are practically smoking!

One of the things I have been doing between rainy spells has been checking the flowers that are available and planning different floral decorations including a mock up of my bouquet (!!! Heee heeeee!!! Ahem, I am calm, dammit!!).

At times like these in between the manic crafting and the tidying I start adding extra tasks to the list of things to do, the list which is consulted multiple times a day, because I am trying to make sure this will be what everyone else wants. The weird bit is that I am not feeling stressed just organised and it has been ages since I have had to be so organised; life here is so very relaxing. Just this morning I thought that if JR is going into kennels over the wedding so he doesn't end up upset about all of the extra people here then maybe he should be microchipped first. The vet said they could see him a couple of hours later and it was so laid back, no lecture for not having done it sooner either.

In amongst all of this we have even had a couple of days out to the beach, the park and to a local airshow where we saw the Red Arrows. My recollection of the day is a bit fuzzy but that might be something to do with the slight concussion. I have been on a photography class too so you may gradually notice an improvement in my pictures, well that is the hope, of course it could have gone in one ear and out the other.

I am definitely wittering now so I had better go and start the day; we are off to the woods to do a little work.

Hugs from Haggis Land,
