Road Trip

So quick post as I just had to tell you about this; we all decided to jump in the car and head to the west coast of Scotland for the day and check out the scenery. That's right. Road trip!!! We kept stopping to take photos of the beautiful scenery. There was a stunning gorge with waterfalls, hills with snow patches, highland cows, and lost looking houses next to lochs.

We stopped in Ullapool and had a delicious meal in a restaurant with the most relaxed atmosphere and fabulous sea food going. If you are ever in the area I would suggest you try out the Seaforth Inn http://www.theseaforth.com It is right by the harbour and the boats were traditional and it all looked picture perfect. I bought a cute candle in pretty colours from a shop Made in Ullapool which was made locally as part of an enterprise to support vulnerable adults in the work place http://www.madeinullapool.com

We are going to do the North Coast 500 drive in the summer with some friends so we get to see more of this stunning scenery.

At times it has been a bit odd since moving up here because it is so very, very different from life in Kent but who wouldn't want to wake up to these clear skies and be able to take a drive, see beautiful things, eat fresh sea food and be home in time for dinner? Happy Monday to you all.

Hugs from Haggis Land,

Jx
