Spring is here!!

Well it is definitely here and I am such a happy bunny...not least because we have wild bunnies hopping all over the place, deer grazing in the field below our house, buzzards circling overhead and little red squirrels bounding about. Last week was great and I went out for lots of walks and saw so much of it. I was starting to flag with the whole exercise thing...who says a bride should diet and get as skinny as she can for her big day? I feel the pressure but have to admit that I was really starting to find any opportunity not to go to the exercise classes, to see my curvaceous jiggling form in the evil mirrors in front of me but walking about like this is something I can do. Over three walks last week I must have walked between 10 and 12 miles, not much for some people but it was a good start for me and I feel great about it. Two of the walks were with munchkin #2 school as part of a week long outdoor learning thing they do four times a year. Seeing all of these things, reminding myself of the Spring wines I can now actually make now the dandelions are out in force as is the gorse and the sun is out so I can pick them... shall we say there is a feel good factor going on here.
My sweetpeas are sprouting and some shoots are nearly 2cm tall so that sort of wedding planning is going well and as I sit here and type my hair is in a twiddly updo as I have tried a new 'do' that might be the one for the wedding. The blueberry liqueur has been bottled and the two bottles are nestled in a cool dark part of the kitchen along with the others so all in all I would have to say that wedding planning is going well too.
If I sound bouncy and upbeat it's because I am...well at least for now! I may have a few posts quite close together because I want to share some the things that are going on right now. A couple of days ago, feeling fabulous about the walks with the school, I dragged my lovely OH along for a walk. We took JR and the furry assassin decided to tag along as we walked took photos and generally admired the views and the stunning flora and fauna that we saw. I am including some pictures that I took because I feel a need to share this stunning place with you.
Deer in the field by our home

Trying to take a decent photo of the stream!

He has to drink every bit of water we find on our walks

The furry assassin likes to monitor our wandering

forget-me-nots growing by the side of the path
Little red squirrel standing very still 20ft away from us...

So this is what we see when we go for a walk around here and after nearly two years I am almost...almost getting used to it.

Hugs from Haggis Land,

Jx
